How to Brew a Carafe with Hamilton Beach Flex Brew Coffee Maker

Step 1-plug the coffee machine into the outlet.

Step 2-Press the carafe button.

Step 3-Lift the lid and remove the carafe brew basket.

Step 4-Put a paper coffee filter in it. For each cup of coffee, you have to add one tablespoon of coffee grounds equal to 15ml in the paper filter.

Step 5-put carafe brew basket back into his holder.

Step 6-Fill carafe with 12 cups of cold water and pour the water into the water reservoir.

Step 7-Close the lid.

Step 8-Put carafe with its lid attached to the warming plate.

Step 9- Press the BREW STRENGTH button to change strength to BOLD.

Step 10-Press BREW NOW I/ button to start brewing. The brew indicator light will light up to show that the coffee maker is on.

Step 11. Press the BREW NOW I/ button to turn it off. Unplug.

Step 12- Carafe brew basket holder and carafe should be rinsed after every use.

How to Brew Single-Serve Ground Coffee with Hamilton Beach Flex Brew Coffee Maker

Step 1-Plug the coffee machine into the outlet.

Step 2-Lift the lid latch until it clicks into place.

Step 3-Insert the funnel in the opening. Open the brew basket lid and then place the brown removable brew basket on the countertop.

Step 4-Now add coffee grounds to the brown removable brew basket.

Step 5-Close the brew basket lid and pace the brew basket in the funnel, aligning the handle with the funnel handle.

Step 6-Close lid and snap in place to latch lid closed.

Step 7-Lift the water reservoir lid.

Step 8-Fill cup or travel mug into which the coffee will be brewed and add water to the water reservoir.

Step 9- Close the water reservoir lid.

Step 10-Use cup rest for a cup/mug OR remove cup rest for a travel mug.

Step 11- Press the BREW NOW I/ button to start brewing. The brew indicator light will light up to show that the coffee maker is brewing. The coffee maker will shut off automatically when brewing is complete.

Step 12- Press the BREW NOW I/ button to turn it off. Unplug.

Step 13-Funnel and brew basket should be rinsed after every use.

Tips to Use Hamilton Beach Flex Brew Coffee Maker

Only use cold water in the reservoir. Hot water is not recommended.

Never reheat the coffee in the machine, it will only make it bitter.

Using creamer or nondairy creamer is not allowed.

To avoid the possibility of clogging, brew water only cycles after brewing hot cocoa single-serve packs.

Remember coffee maker brews all the water you will pour into the reservoir.

Press the BREW NOW I/ button again to STOP brewing midcycle. The remaining water must be removed.

When the brew indicator light flashes three times that means the lid is not closed. Lower lid until it clicks to lock. Press the BREW NOW I/ button.

Do not brew coffee without a removable needle holder locked into place.

How to do General Cleaning of Hamilton Beach Flex Brew Coffee Maker

Step 1-Unplug the coffee machine and allow it to cool down.

Step 2-Take all removable parts and hand wash them using hot soapy water. If you are using a dishwasher then top rack only. DO NOT use the “SANI” setting when washing in the dishwasher. “SANI” cycle temperatures could damage your product.

Step 3- Wipe outside of the coffee maker with a soft damp cloth.
