How to Use Brim Coffee Maker for the First Time

Step 1-Remove the packing material and labels from the coffee machine.

Step 2-Put the coffee maker on a flat and clean surface.

Step 3-Clean the class carafe, flavor infusion carafe lid, coffee scoop, removable filter holder, and gold-tone coffee filter in hot water. Rinse and dry them.

Step 4-Replace disassembled parts.

Step 5-To clean the inside of the coffee machine, fill the carafe with cold water and pour it into the water reservoir at the back of the unit. Center empty carafe on the warming plate. Do not add the gold-tone coffee filter or ground coffee for this initial cleaning.

Step 6-Plug in the power cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet. At this point, the backlighted screen will illuminate at 12:00 AM.

Step 7- Press the BREW/OFF button. It will illuminate white, the backlighted screen will shine, the pump/heater will begin operation, and water will flow into the carafe.

Step 8-Three tones will sound when the brew cycle is completed, and the screen will darken.

Step 9-Brew a second cycle with fresh water as well.

Step 10-Now wait for 15 minutes before brewing your first carafe of coffee.

How to Make Coffee in the Brim Coffee Maker

Step 1-Open the coffee maker lid by using the side tab.

Step 2-Remove the flavor infusion carafe lid and fill the carafe with cold water. Pour the water into the water tank that is at the back of the machine. The water level indicator can be easily viewed inside the unit.

Step 3-Remember that the flavor infusion tube should be in good condition before inserting into the carafe. Place carafe lid securely over carafe handle and press to make sure it is securely locked in position.

Step 4-Put the carafe in the center of the warming plate.

Step 5-Lower and rotate the filter holder until its handle drops down into the housing.

Step 6-Place the gold-tone coffee filter in the removable filter holder. Measure 2 level tablespoons or one scoop of drip or regular ground coffee for each cup of coffee desired. For more substantial or milder coffee, adjust the amount of coffee to suit your taste.

Step 7- Close the Coffee Maker lid.

Step 8-Plug the power cord into a 120V AC electrical outlet; the backlighted screen will illuminate. The default REGULAR brew strength and “12:00 AM” will appear. The HOUR will flash as the Coffee Maker advances to CLOCK setting mode. NOTE: It is not necessary to set the CLOCK to brew coffee. NOTE: The screen will darken in 20 seconds if no other buttons are selected.

Step 9-To begin brewing coffee immediately, press the BREW/OFF button. The button will illuminate white, the backlighted screen will illuminate, and default TIME and REG will be displayed.
